House Resolution 669, titled "The Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act," is a bill that is currently before Congress that if passed will have devastating effects on the pet industry. Anyone who keeps, breeds, sells, or transports pet fish, birds, reptiles, and small mammals will be impacted by this bill. HR 669 makes it illegal to sell or breed these common pet trade animals.
